Nymphaea ‘Meteor’ is a fast-growing purple-red waterlily with peony-shaped flowers and burgundy-tinged leaves. Also known as a Rembrandt lily, Meteor looks pretty as a picture in medium and large ponds.Meteor has semi-double blooms, giving it a fuller look than that of most red waterlilies. These flowers grow to a width of about 5 to 6 inches and have white-tipped petals.

Famous waterlily hybridizer Joseph Latour-Marliac created the Meteor variety in the early 1900s.
