Attraction is one of the largest red waterlilies. Its pinkish red flowers span 3 to 4 inches across and float alongside bronze leaves that sometimes mature to dark green.French botanist Joseph Latour-Marliac created the Attraction variety in 1910, a few years after he designed the famous waterlily exhibition at the World’s Fair in Paris. This display inspired the likes of Claude Monet, who portrayed the plants in his Les Nymphéas series of paintings.
